If you don't love Bell pepper, you can safely exclude it from the list of ingredients. Otherwise, wash the small pod. Remove the stem and seeds. Cut half of the pepper into small cubes.

Prepare the basis for minced meat "hedgehogs". Minced meat can be used not only combined. Pure pork will do. Or beef. And even "hedgehogs" from minced chicken will not be dry. Vegetable sauce and cooking in a slow cooker will make the dish tender. Mix minced meat with chopped pepper. Drive in a big one egg. Pour in the rice. It doesn't need to be cooked. It is advisable to use long-grain cereals.

Pass a couple of garlic cloves through the press. No fresh? Will go and granulated. Add salt and a little ground pepper. Use other meat spices if you wish. Or ready-made seasoning for meatballs.

Mix the contents of the bowl thoroughly. Knead with your hands until it turns into an elastic mass. If the minced meat is saturated with air, the “hedgehogs” will fall apart, disintegrate and spread when frying and stewing in a slow cooker. Therefore, beat off the meat base for future ruddy rice balls. Throw it a few times on the cutting board. The mass will become denser.

Of course, vegetables for the sauce can also be prepared in parallel with frying. Clean the carrot. Cut into strips. Or grate on a coarse grater. I like the first option better. Firstly, because this is how carrots retain their shape even after prolonged stewing. Secondly, because I do not have the usual coarse grater.

Peel the onion too. Finely chop.

Tomatoes. It would be nice to peel them off. So that small hard particles do not overshadow the tasting of “hedgehogs” from minced meat with rice. How it's done. Boil the kettle. In the place where the tomato is attached to the stem, make two notches crosswise. Not very deep, just enough to cut into the skin. Pour boiling water over the tomatoes. After 7-10 minutes, take out the tomatoes. Remove skin. And cut the pulp into small cubes. Or puree in a blender.

Add onions, carrots and tomatoes to the hedgehogs. Onion with carrots can be fried separately. Pour in some water or broth. Add a small pinch of pepper and salt. Stir gently. Close the multicooker. Select the "Extinguishing" mode. Cook 30-40 minutes.

Ingredients:

chopped meat(pork in half with beef) - 0.5 kg sweet, juicy, large carrots - 1 pc.
onion - medium head greens (dill and parsley) - a small bunch
fresh garlic - 2 medium cloves long grain rice - 100-120 g
large chicken egg - 1 pc. flour - 2-3 tbsp. l. (for breading)
vegetable oil - 2-3 tbsp. l. salt - to taste
black ground pepper- pinch sour cream of any fat content - 100 g
tomato paste (ketchup or tomato sauce) - 1-1.5 tbsp. l. water - 100 ml

How to cook meat "hedgehogs":

Peel the carrots. Cut coarsely. I chopped vegetables in a blender, so I didn’t really follow the beauty of cutting. But you can grate carrots on a large or medium grater.

Chop the onion into small pieces too. Or chop into a cube, like for soup, if you will not use a blender.

Peel the garlic. Divide each clove into several parts. Or skip through the press.

Grind carrots, onions and garlic with a blender. It is not necessary to puree. Let it not be completely uniform. If you initially preferred small cuts, just mix the vegetables.

Finely chop clean greens. You can use parsley with garlic. Or give the dish a Mediterranean touch by adding basil. And if you like cilantro, then she will go.

Mix minced meat with chopped vegetables. Beat in the chicken egg. Add rice groats. Raw rice is added to minced hedgehogs. But you can bring it to half-readiness. It won't hurt the dish. Salt and pepper. Don't forget greenery.

Thoroughly mix the minced meat with rice for "hedgehogs". The mass should be homogeneous, smooth and elastic.

Blind neat balls. Roll them in flour. You don’t have to panic, but then there will be no appetizing crust.

Fry meat "hedgehogs" in vegetable oil. The oil must be well heated. And the fire is strong. Brown the balls on one side.

As mentioned above, rice does not need to be boiled. Mix it in a cup with minced meat and finely chopped onion. Add one egg for viscosity. If the mass sticks to your hands, then moisten them cold water. Don't forget to salt and pepper.

After obtaining a homogeneous mixture, we proceed to the formation of hedgehogs. Choose their size as you wish. Some people like large balls, and after eating one of these, you can already get enough. For some, small hedgehogs are preferred.

After the formation of rice and meat balls, we proceed to the preparation of the filling. Chop onions and carrots, mix them. Add sour cream and tomato paste. The latter can be replaced with ketchup. Required Ingredients:

  • 0.5 kg of minced meat;
  • ½ st. rice
  • 1 + 1 onion (for hedgehogs and for gravy);
  • 1 non-cold egg;
  • 3 tomatoes;
  • 1 medium carrot;
  • 1 tbsp flour;
  • salt, sugar, pepper, herbs.

Cooking steps:

  1. Boil rice until half cooked.
  2. To form “hedgehogs”, we take twisted meat, finely chopped onion, cooled rice, egg, add salt and pepper, mix thoroughly.
  3. We roll small koloboks from the resulting minced meat, which should be laid out on the bottom of a thick-walled stewpan or pan. There will be a lot of gravy, so whatever the chosen container, its sides should be high. Hedgehogs in a slow cooker - recipe

Required Ingredients:

  • 0.5 kg headlight;
  • 1 carrot;
  • 1 onion;
  • 1 Bulgarian pepper;
  • half a multicooker measuring cup of rice;
  • 40 ml of tomato paste;
  • 2 tbsp. l. flour;
  • 100 g sour cream;
  • salt, spices, herbs.

  • 100 g of rice;
  • 1 onion;
  • ½ st. homemade cream4
  • 2 tbsp. milk;
  • 100 g butter
  • 2 garlic cloves;
  • 2 yolks.

Cooking steps:

  1. We rub the peeled onion on a coarse grater or pass it through a blender.
