The main feature of the pie is the use of semolina instead of wheat flour.

In the Soviet period, semolina was elevated to the rank of the most valuable cereals that everyone should eat, regardless of age. Modern scientists tend to believe that semolina, as such, does not have much value for the body, especially when compared with other grains. However, when added to a pie, it slightly reduces the calorie content of the product by replacing wheat flour.

The calorie content of manna with kefir is 249 kcal per 100 grams of the finished product.

The value is not small, given the fact that the pie turns out to be quite dense and heavy in weight, so a hundred-gram piece will look very insignificant on the plate. There are secrets for reducing the calorie content of the product by reducing the amount of eggs and flour in the composition. Preparing dietary manna is possible, but the pie will lose its enviable splendor and delicacy for which it is so loved.

Speaking about the benefits, it is also worth mentioning the vitamins and microelements that make up manna. These include:

  • B vitamins;
  • vitamin E;
  • folic acid;
  • phosphorus;
  • sulfur;
  • chlorine;
  • calcium;
  • iron;
  • magnesium;
  • zinc.

True, the calcium included in the composition is poorly absorbed by the body due to the adjacent phosphorus content in large quantities. Nevertheless, microelements can contribute to a person’s daily enrichment of active substances.

Delicious manna with coconut

Take for preparation:

  • 250 ml. low-fat kefir(you can use low-fat);
  • wheat flour, sifted - a glass;
  • a glass of semolina;
  • a glass of sugar;
  • a bag of coconut flakes (approximately 100-120 g);
  • one egg;
  • odorless vegetable oil – 80-100 ml.;
  • sachet of baking powder – 10-15 g.
  • a pinch of salt.

A simple recipe for manna on kefir with apples in a slow cooker (video)

All four recipes presented are perfect for baking this sweetness, in the oven, and in a slow cooker. The only thing that is important to take into account when preparing manna with kefir using an electrical appliance is that the bowls of multicookers, as a rule, are not large, like oven forms, and therefore it is better to take half the portion of products for manna.

To make semolina with kefir tender, crumbly, aromatic, rich, and tasty, you need to stir the soaked semolina several times while it is swelling. This will allow you to get a homogeneous crumbly mass, and not a solid lump of semolina.

When replacing baking powder with baking soda, be aware that 1 serving slaked soda, replaces 3 parts of ready-made baking powder. Depending on this, select the correct portions of these products.

Suddenly, there is no butter at home, we will replace it with margarine for baking.

You can use any of the following in manna fermented milk products, for example, sour cream or natural yogurt. You should add just a little lemon to the finished dough ( lemon acid). In this case, the pie, in its splendor and tenderness, will in no way be inferior to manna prepared with kefir.

Mannik can be prepared with various fillings, with jam, jam, chocolate, condensed milk. To do this, cut the finished cooled pie into 2 parts and spread your layers with your favorite filling.

You can add raisins, candied fruits, fruits and berries to the dough for manna, but do not overdo it with adding these products, as your pie may not rise.

Like these ones delicious recipes pie, I told you. Don’t be lazy, make this manna with kefir (any option), and please yourself and your friends and loved ones.

Mannik with kefir - a classic recipe in the oven

The classic recipe for manna with kefir, as well as with milk, fermented baked milk, yogurt, jam or tea, involves excluding flour from its composition or using it in minimum quantity. The recipe below for kefir is convenient because all the main products for it can be measured out in a 200 ml faceted glass. The amount of kefir, sugar and cereal corresponds to its volume.

What is included in the test:

  • 180 g sugar;
  • 160 g semolina;
  • 200 ml kefir;
  • 2 eggs;
  • 3 g salt;
  • 3 g soda;
  • dried fruits (raisins, dried apricots, dried cherries etc.) to taste.

Recipe step by step:

  1. Combine sugar, cereal and salt in one container and mix with a whisk. In another bowl, also whisk kefir, eggs and soda.
  2. Combine both mixtures together, add the washed dried fruits and leave for the process of swelling of the cereal and the neutralization of soda for at least thirty minutes. In the process of preparing semolina pie, the swelling stage of the cereal is mandatory; without it, the baked goods will come out dry and hard. In order for the grains to be saturated with moisture as quickly as possible, kefir or other liquid must be warm or at least at room temperature.
  3. The prepared dough is baked in a mold with oiled walls and bottom at 170-190 degrees, depending on the characteristics of the oven, for approximately 40-45 minutes.

How to prepare a crumbly dessert in a slow cooker?

There is nothing easier than baking manna in a slow cooker. You just need to prepare and mix the products, transfer the resulting mass into the multi-helper, press the button and wait for the signal that the baking is ready.

Hello, readers and guests of the culinary blog site. Just recently I learned that you can bake a pie without flour, one might say, by chance. How can this be? But maybe. I lived until I was 38 years old and had no idea what manna was and how easy it was to prepare.

In general, I had the idea of making a banal charlotte, but in the process I discovered that there was not enough flour at home and yesterday someone stole an apple. Does this happen? And my husband really asked me to bake something, and I was so reluctant to run to the store. Armed with a laptop and Google, I found something to create from the supplies I had on hand: a simple recipe for manna with kefir worked for me. I will share it with you.

I’ll be honest, it was the time I baked semolina pie for the first time that it didn’t work out because I was in a hurry and made mistakes. It turned out that there are little tricks. I will try to reveal all the nuances of preparation.

Ingredients

  • kefir – 200 ml;
  • semolina – 1 cup (250 ml);
  • butter – 50 g;
  • eggs – 2-3 pcs.;
  • sugar – 1 cup (200 ml);
  • vanilla sugar – 1 tsp;
  • baking powder – 2 tsp.

How to cook manna with kefir?

Since the semolina in the recipe is assigned the role of flour, it must first be soaked in kefir and allowed to swell thoroughly. This will take approximately 30-45 minutes. Why soak semolina? If you use unswollen semolina, then during baking the kernels of semolina may settle to the bottom and the dough will be uneven, dense and raw at the bottom. Therefore, the soaking and swelling process is important if we want to get a fluffy cake.

Then beat the eggs with sugar, add vanilla sugar, baking powder,

softened butter and mix well with the kefir-semolina mixture.

There is also a belief that the whites need to be beaten separately, and then mixed into the dough with a spatula so that the pie crusts are more fluffy and tender. I completely agree with this, if time allows, be sure to do it.

Another important point! To prepare the manna dough, use baking powder, not soda. Why? When you prepare it, you will understand everything yourself.

Place the finished dough into the prepared baking dish. It is advisable to take a mold with a small diameter so that the cake is higher. A cake pan works very well.

Bake like a regular pie, in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 40 minutes.

Here is such a simple pie - manna with kefir. I also want to try using this classic recipe to make manna with sour cream and raisins and I think it will turn out just as tasty. I will continue to experiment. Friends, do not hesitate to express your opinion in the comments, it is important to me.
