Pear jam recipes five minutes

Pear jam "Five minutes" for the winter a simple recipe

Cooking jam is usually quite troublesome and long. Most of the complexity goes to stirring the jam, but 5-mintuk pear jam is a complete exception. We cook it in one approach for only 5 minutes, and it has never burned, no matter what pan I cook it in. I received the recipe from a former colleague who always made a lot of preparations for the winter, and all her other recipes were too complicated for me.

100 grams of sugar

250 ml jar with lid (twist-off)

Yield 250 ml + a little jam for testing.

Making quick pear jam

You need to prepare this jam in advance, since the evening.

Peel the pears from the peel, seeds and tail. You can not get rid of the peel if you have an early pear with a light skin. But be prepared for the fact that your jam will be a little darker than what is in the photo.

We cut the pears into random pieces. I just cut quarters into thin strips. Try to keep the pieces as uniform as possible. You can cut into equal cubes.

Cover the container with a lid or cling film and leave overnight.

If you cook in the morning - mix the pear with sugar - it will release the juice more easily, and put it in a warm place (near the stove or oven).

As you can see, the pear has released a lot of juice, and there is no need to add water.

Put the saucepan on the fire and wait until it boils. Remove the foam and boil for 5 minutes.

Remove from heat and cool completely. Usually, with a small amount of jam, 2 hours is enough.

Put it back on the fire, remove the foam and boil for another 5 minutes.

Cool down and repeat. There will be no foam this time.

In the meantime, the pear is cooking, prepare the container - sterilize jars and lids in the usual way for you.

Transfer jam into jars, pour in syrup.

Close the jars with lids.

Wrap with a warm blanket or towel and cool gradually. A night is usually enough for the jars to cool completely.

Only after that the jam is ready for further storage.

You can store Pyatiminutka pear jam at room temperature, there is no need to take it out to the cellar.

The jam is very delicate, ideal for filling a fruit shortbread tart or a pie.
