I have a triangular-shaped loaf, so I simply cut it into slices about 7-10 mm thick, after which I cut off the crust on all sides of each slice. If you have brick bread, after slicing, it makes sense to cut each slice in half or diagonally, and then also cut off the crusts.


Now let's get to the filling. Peel the carrots, wash and dry them, then chop them using the finest grater or blender. The smaller the carrots, the more tender the paste sauce will be - the first layer of our sandwiches.


Next is the garlic. We clean it and pass it through a garlic press or, like carrots, grate it on the finest grater. Mix the resulting garlic mass with chopped carrots. Add mayonnaise to the vegetables, add some salt to the mixture to taste, add ground pepper and mix all the ingredients until smooth.


Lubricate the resulting carrot-garlic paste like butter on one side of each piece of bread. The paste should lie in a neat, even layer.
