As a filling for puff bagels, it is best to use nuts, thick jam or sweet.

Ingredients:

      • puff pastry - 500 grams (yeast-free);
      • peanuts - 200 grams;
      • granulated sugar - 2 tbsp. spoons;
      • ground cinnamon with powdered sugar- 1 tbsp. the spoon.

How to make puff pastry rolls:

Any nuts are suitable for bagels: walnuts, pistachios, forest nuts. Pairs very well with puff pastry roasted peanuts. If it is unpeeled, then you must first remove the shell. After that, the peanuts in the husk should be laid out in a single layer in a frying pan with a thick bottom and, stirring occasionally, fry until golden brown. The nucleoli darken very quickly, so you can’t leave them on the stove for a long time. During the roasting process, the husk dries up and separates from the peanuts.


Ready nuts must be chopped in a blender at low speed or cut with a knife. You should get a heterogeneous crumb, but not flour.

It must be mixed with sugar, the amount of which can be increased or decreased by half a spoon to taste. Cookie filling is ready.


Puff pastry should be thawed before room temperature. Do not put it in the microwave as the outer layers may dry before the inner layers melt. When the dough becomes soft and pliable, it needs to be rolled out into a layer about 3 mm thick.

If the cake is round, then it should be cut into 8 segments. The rectangular layer must be divided into strips 16-18 cm wide. Then each strip must be cut into triangles with a base of about 10 cm.


On the wide part of the triangle, put 1 tsp. fillings.


Then carefully roll the dough into a tube, making sure that the filling does not spill out from the sides.

When all the blanks are formed, they must be transferred to a baking sheet covered with baking paper. The ends of the dough must be filled under the bagels so that they do not turn around.

  7. We take one piece of dough, make a cake out of it with our hands, and then roll it into a round layer 5 mm thick.

  8. Brush the surface of the cake generously with softened butter.
