  • wheat flour (first or highest grade) - 120 gr. (about 2/3 cup);
  • potato starch - 70 gr. (1/2 cup);
  • salt - 2 small pinches;
  • baking soda - 3 gr. (1/2 teaspoon);
  • large egg (or 2 small ones);
  • finely chopped candied fruits - 50 gr. (a handful of).
  • You can replace baking soda with baking powder by doubling the indicated dose. Optionally, along with candied fruits, add raisins or zest removed from citrus fruits (from lemons or oranges) to the dough. With these additions, your cupcake will become even more fragrant and appetizing.
  • Cooking time - 60 minutes.

How to make Vanilla Cake with Candied Fruit:

Since cake batter takes very little time to prepare, you can first turn on the oven by setting the temperature switch to 190 ° C so that it has time to warm up.

  7. We spread the resulting dough in the prepared form and send it to the oven for 40-50 minutes (depending on the oven).
  8. In five minutes, we check the readiness of our dessert with a long toothpick. If, after piercing the center of the cake, there remains on the toothpick batter, then the cooking time will need to be extended by another 7-10 minutes.
