Green soup is excellent in both nutrition and taste. It can be cooked both on vegetable or on water. In any case, the dish turns out to be rich and unusually tasty. In this recipe, we will consider the option of making soup without the use of meat, i.e. boil it in water. It is suitable for fasting, as well as for vegetarians.

Lentils can be pre-soaked for a couple of hours in cold water, but this is for lovers of boiled grains. I pour dry, and it turns out very tender, but whole.

Products needed for cooking:



- lentils - 1 cup,
- potatoes - 3 pieces,
- carrots - 1 piece,

Rinse lentils for soup in cold water without soaking. All vegetables are washed. We clean the onions, carrots and potatoes.
Tomatoes are peeled, bell pepper- from seeds. Cut potatoes, peppers and tomatoes into cubes. Carrots and onions - in smaller pieces (or grate).



We turn on the multicooker in the "meat" mode and pour vegetable oil into the bowl. When it warms up, pour the chopped vegetables for frying: onions, carrots, peppers and tomatoes. At this stage, for those who decide to cook meat soup, you first need to add the meat cut into pieces, and the vegetables when the meat “grabs” and brightens. Don't close the lid yet! We also add spices here - I took dry parsley and dill, a little ground black pepper and salt.



Lightly fry everything until soft (some like until golden brown- this is also possible), pour lentils and potatoes on top.



Put a bay leaf on top, carefully pour hot water and close the multicooker with a lid.




Next, the "meat" mode must be turned off and the multicooker must be switched to the "soup" mode.



The valve on the lid must be closed. We are waiting for the end of the program, letting off steam or waiting for the pan to cool down by itself, and our dish is well infused. So it’s ready in a slow cooker, rich, thick, fragrant soup from green lentils!

How to cook red lentil soup in a slow cooker

Peel onions and carrots, rinse cold water. Cut the onion into wide slices, and the carrot into circles.

Sort the red lentils, rinse in several waters before dipping into the multicooker bowl. Drain the water.

In frying mode, heat oil in a bowl. Dip the onions and carrots into the bowl. Stir.

Saute the vegetables with the lid closed for 13-15 minutes until the onion is lightly browned.

Throw in the lentils.

Pour the contents of the bowl hot water.

Install the Soup program. Boil lentils for 20 minutes.

Salt, sprinkle with pepper and paprika.

Simmer the soup for another 10 minutes. During this time, the lentils, onions and carrots will become soft.

At the preparatory stage of preparing lentil soup, we will clean the vegetables: potatoes, carrots, onions and garlic. Cut the onion and carrot into cubes, chop the garlic finely.

We measure the lentils into a deep bowl and rinse it until clear water. I did not soak the lentils, in a slow cooker they boil well.

We take a chilled piece of meat, I took beef and wash it. Dry it and cut it into cubes.

We turn on the frying mode, you can replace it with the baking or multi-cook mode. Pour sunflower oil into a slow cooker, put onions and carrots and fry until golden brown under a closed lid.

Pour the chopped potatoes, washed lentils into the bowl. Add salt.

Fill with hot water, about 2 liters, but not more than the upper mark. We close the lid.

We turn on the soup program for 1.5 hours. Can be replaced with a 2 hour extinguishing program. We press start.

  1. Cut the meat into small pieces, sprinkle with paprika and salt and leave to marinate for 30 minutes.
  2. Wash the lentil beans. We free the onion from the husk and cut into cubes. Rub the peeled carrots on a grater with large chips.
  3. Pour vegetable (if available, olive is better) oil into the bowl of the multicooker, put it on the bottom cold cuts, mix, close and fry in baking mode for 15 minutes.
  4. Add onions and carrots to the meat roast and fry in the same mode for another 15 minutes.
  5. After frying, we try the readiness of the veal - if it is already soft, then we put yellow lentils into the bowl. If not, then pour half a glass of boiling water into the meat, change the mode to “stewing” and cook the veal with vegetables for another 20 minutes.
  6. My potato tubers, peel and cut into cubes. Open the bowl of the multicooker, put potato cubes and lentil grains into it and pour 2 liters of boiling water. We program "Extinguishing" for 35 minutes.
  7. After 35 minutes, put bay leaves, peppercorns, a pinch of coriander and salt into the soup. We continue to cook in the same mode for another 15 minutes.
  8. Turn off the slow cooker and let the yellow lentil soup with meat brew for at least 20 minutes.

  4. Pour oil into the bowl of the multicooker and cook meat roast from chicken, onions, tomatoes and carrots for 15 minutes in the "Baking" mode.
  5. While the chicken with vegetables is fried, we wash the red grains in several waters, cut the potatoes into cubes. Pass the garlic through a press.
