for 3 liter jar:

  • strong fleshy tomatoes 1.5-2 kg (depending on size).

  • parsley (or / and celery) - 2-3 sprigs.
  • onion- 0.5 medium head.
  • horseradish (leaf or / and a piece of root).
  • black pepper (peas) - 5-6 pcs.
  • allspice (peas) - 2-3 pcs.
  • cloves (whole) - 1 pc (optional).
    garlic (depending on the size of the teeth) - 3-4 teeth.
  • sweet pepper (any color, cut into faces).

(All herbs and spices vary according to your taste)

for the marinade:

  • 6 tbsp sugar (or 150 gr).
  • 2 tbsp salt (or 60 gr).
  • 3 tbsp vinegar (or 45 ml).

A 3-liter jar of tomatoes contains approximately 1.5 liters of marinade.

How to cook sweet tomatoes for the winter:

1. Vegetables and herbs should be thoroughly washed in cool water. Peel onion and garlic. Onion cut into circles.

5. Drain the water into the pan again. And in a jar of tomatoes, meanwhile, pour 3 tbsp. spoons of vinegar. In the water that we have just drained, sugar and salt should be added. This marinade must be boiled, brought to a boil and boiled for about a couple of minutes. As soon as the marinade is ready, pour tomatoes over it, roll up jars with blanks, wrap them up and leave them in this form for about three days.

Pour the brine into jars, and cover with lids so that table vinegar does not evaporate.
