A real health resort and the secret of longevity is pink Crimean salt! Amazing natural product, which contains all the microelements of the periodic table. This is a rare and unsurpassed combination that only a few places on the planet can offer. Among them is the Crimean nature, rich in deposits of a valuable and very useful resource.

A little history

The special significance of pink salt was appreciated by the Turks of the Ottoman Empire. After the Crimean War, the Turkish Sultan most of all regretted not the luxurious lands, but the Crimean pink sea salt. When signing a decree on peace with the Russian Empire, the first point the Sultan mentioned was establishing trade in pink seasoning with Turkey. Even then, more than two centuries ago, this natural resource was valued at the same level as gold and silver.

The method of extracting pink salt was discovered ten centuries ago. It consisted of filling the salt pools with sea water in the spring. The warm rays of the sun contributed to the evaporation of moisture, and salt crystals settled at the bottom of the natural pool. The pink color of the product is due to a rare algae that lives in salt pools. She saturates the salt big amount beta carotene.

For many years it remained a product of the elite class and was exclusively a royal privilege. But after the revolution at the beginning of the last century, the situation changed. In the 30s, a technology for extracting a valuable resource was developed and it was put into wide circulation. The product began to be sold in stores and exported.

Main features of pink salt

Many consider this product to be the most useful substance on the planet, and there is a lot of truth in this. It helps strengthen the immune system, and the effective effect remains for a long time. Respiratory diseases bypass everyone who includes this product in their diet. Nutritionists strongly recommend using it as a dietary supplement. Crimean pink salt for food is the optimal way to saturate the body with essential microelements.

During the Great Patriotic War, many wounded were rescued using brine from salt lakes. It is similar in composition to plasma, so it was used as a blood substitute.

Pink salt is interesting for its unique features:

  • its formation occurs naturally, as a result of moisture evaporation, so thermal incorporation is not used;
  • is different with a unique composition, which contains all existing minerals and trace elements;
  • has a beautiful and natural pink color;
  • it can be successfully used both in cooking and in cosmetology;
  • The collection technology, proven over the years, allows us to obtain salt crystals of their original appearance.

Another one characteristic feature This salt has a special smell that will never confuse it with a colored fake.

What microelements are included?

Pink salt has a composition that is difficult to find a competitor in terms of usefulness. Here are zinc and magnesium, iodine and phosphorus, manganese, selenium and potassium. It contains a lot of iron, fluorine, chromium, boron, molybdenum and other useful elements.

Paying a fixed price for Crimean food pink salt, you can be sure that all trace elements are absorbed 100%.

What is the difference between pink Crimean seasoning and regular one?

The main difference lies in the method of extraction of these substances. The familiar stone or sea salt, which is also called mountain, is also rich in a wide range of useful micro- and macroelements. Their number is more than eighty species, but many of them die during industrial cleaning. After this, only two useful elements reach us, and the product itself becomes sodium chloride.

Such a food product benefits greatly in terms of production. Its mining technologies have not undergone any technical intervention. So we get unique product in his in its original form. Because of this, the benefits and richness of the composition are not compromised.

Crimean pink salt has enormous medicinal properties. It is able to cleanse the body and maintain normal water-salt metabolism.

Pink salt - valuable gift from Crimean nature, preserved from ancient times to today. The ancient Scythians and Greeks began to appreciate the properties of Crimean salt, adding it to food for the first time. In the 19th century unique salt was exclusively on the royal table and was inaccessible to commoners. Today the salt mines special technologies and nature itself made the unique Crimean pink salt available to the public.

Crimea- one of four European deposits of pink salt. According to some historical information, in the era of Catherine II, the Turkish Sultan, having lost the Crimean lands, was very upset. Not because he lost significant territories, cities with palaces and gardens on the Crimean peninsula, but because he was left without Crimean pink salt.

For reference:
Why is Crimean pink salt pink?
The shade of salt is produced by single-celled microalgae Dunaliella Salina, the only living organisms that are not afraid of a salty environment. They are the ones who synthesize beta-carotene (red-pink in color) in its natural chemical form. 1 kg of dried seaweed contains the same amount of beta-carotene as found in 16 tons of fresh carrots.

So what makes this salt unique? How is it different from regular table salt? Why does it have such a beautiful “Martian” shade? Let's find out.

How are pink salt crystals mined in Crimea?

We carefully collect the salt in the autumn, when the spring and summer sun and sea water have already done their job of growing salt crystals. Since spring, the huge natural pools of the Crimean lakes are filled with sea water, gradually the sun evaporates it, and the most valuable crystals settle at the bottom. The salt mine has developed a technology for harvesting salt so as not to disturb its crystalline structure and not lose its unique healing properties final product. The output is “living” salt, which has no analogues in the world. Thus, in Korea, salt is grown not naturally on lake brine, but in concrete pools, and in the United States - generally on synthetic film.

For reference:
Crimean pink salt received a valuable award in Paris in 1912 - a gold medal “For high quality and unique natural properties”, and in 2010 at the Peterfood exhibition a gold medal “For an innovative product”.

What is the difference between Crimean salt and ordinary table salt?

Pink salt supplied by the Crimean Salts company has a special chemical composition. Some experts compare it to human blood plasma. Even in wartime, Crimean brine was prescribed to wounded soldiers to replenish valuable electrolyte in case of extensive bleeding and poorly healing wounds.

Unlike simple salt, pink Crimean salt does not retain moisture inside the body, but saturates it with minerals and has a powerful antioxidant effect.

The composition includes not only beta-carotenes, which significantly increase immunity, but also 84 elements from D. I. Mendeleev’s periodic table, including:

  • iodine - regulating hormone balance thyroid gland, acting as an antiseptic for damaged skin;
  • calcium - forms cell membranes, facilitates the transmission of nerve impulses, normalizes blood clotting;
  • potassium and sodium - balancing healthy eating and cleaning of cells that ensure electrical conductivity of nerve fibers;
  • bromine - calms the nervous system and is involved in the formation of healthy skin.

The main active components of the salt include violoxanthin, zeaxanthin, lutein, antheraxanthin, b-carotene - a set of carotenoids that heal the body both outside and inside.

How can you use pink salt?

The innovation of salt as a product lies in its versatility.

The medical use of pink salt is based on proven effectiveness. Thus, halotherapy - treatment in a salt cave - has a strong healing effect on patients with pulmonary diseases and skin diseases, on frequently ill children and is a guaranteed preventive measure for strengthening general and local immunity. Visit our network of halo chambers “Crimean Salt Caves” and get a boost of immunity and health for a long time!

For reference:
Salt production employees are different good health, endurance and never suffer from respiratory viral diseases.

Even a short stay in halo chambers or salt caves relieves stress, relieves depression, depression and chronic fatigue.

If you use Crimean salt as table salt instead of plain salt (NaCl), you will saturate your body with important mineral and antioxidant elements without the use of chemical vitamin and mineral preparations. Consequently, reduce family expenses on expensive and ineffective pharmaceutical products.

Cosmetologists have long developed and successfully used a series of care products for your skin: from peeling scrubs to compositions for healing baths. Use them and become beautiful and healthy!

Crimean pink salt was recognized internationally a hundred years ago. In 1912, it was awarded “gold” at the Paris Exhibition. And since then, product manufacturers have tried to preserve the technology for extracting this amazing mineral. It is manual collection and natural evaporation that make it possible to convey to the consumer unique, beneficial features pink crystal. Sea salt from Crimea is truly a living product. If you want to get the desired effect that the characteristics promise, make sure that it is genuine. This will confirm the certificate. And if the salt isn't that pink, that's okay. During long-term transportation, color may be lost.

Color Crimean salt(not ground) gives off a pink tint in the light, because... this salt matures and is found in the brine with the algae Dunaliella salina, which turns the brine pink.

From the moment the salt is collected, the sea pink solution drains, the salt ages, and the bright pink color is lost, “burns in the sun,” but the beta-carotene built into the salt remains in the crystal itself.

Crimean salt has a slightly transparent crystal of a grayish-yellowish color with a subtle pinkish tint (if the salt is not ground). When grinding, the pink tint is no longer visible, but beta-carotene remains in the salt crystal itself, as indicated on the product packaging.

The color of the salt in the package is whitish-gray. The salt is simply ground and packaged. It is not cleaned with chemicals, brightened with chemicals, or tinted pink with chemicals. SHE IS NATURAL. And the grayer the sea salt, the healthier it is, which means it contains not only sodium chlorine, but also a lot of other elements.

Crimean salt is grown not in concrete pools, but in natural salt lakes, the entire salt solution undergoes a series of natural purifications in various preparatory natural pools, at the bottom of which there is medicinal mud “glel”, which saturates the salt crystals with medicinal marine micro and macro elements.

The unique benefits of pink salt come from the algae Dunaliella salina. Everyone knows Himalayan pink salt, which costs an incredible amount of money for
a small amount of. But we have a unique opportunity to supply Pink Salt of Crimea, whose characteristics are in no way inferior to Himalayan salt, the price of which is several times lower.

Pink salt is used for preventive and medicinal purposes.
With daily use in food and bathing: strengthens the immune system, daily prevention of colds, strengthens the heart vascular system, the functions of the musculoskeletal system and skin care are improved.

Pink salt contains 84 minerals, marine micro and macroelements (Iodine, magnesium, bromine, calcium, copper, potassium, chlorine, manganese, bromine, sulfur, zinc, sodium, phosphorus and their compounds). Betacarotene from Dunaliella salina algae. Carotene is a substance that improves immunity and helps the body adapt and survive in adverse conditions. Betacarotene, which is part of sea salt along with sea iodine, magnesium and bromine, does not cause allergies and has no side effects and contraindications. Natural Iodine (natural), preserved in a salt crystal.

I fell in love with Crimean Pink Salt from the first pack, although it still took me a while to try it. She, so to speak, a little less salty than its usual counterparts, but it amazingly emphasizes the taste of dishes, improving their quality. It is not for nothing that for eight thousand years various peoples of the world have considered sea salt the best seasoning for dishes. In this sense, Crimean Pink Salt can be considered a reference.

I bought finely ground salt in a small specialized store [link] I live in St. Petersburg and couldn’t find such salt in my surroundings, so I ordered it from Moscow.

My 12 kg package contained only three packs of this salt; I didn’t expect that this would be the most popular type of salt!

To be honest, at first I didn’t even know what I would talk about finely ground salt in my review.

Well, how can she surprise?

The salt looks like salt, very finely ground.

Obviously, it is very convenient for cooking - for soups, for baking, for salads...

My husband, for example, doesn’t like grinding salt in a mill (but I love it!), he prefers the old-fashioned, familiar consistency, just like this.

Why is salt called “Pink”?

All because of the Dunaliella algae, which lives in the salty Crimean lakes and gives the reservoirs a bright pink color by synthesizing beta-carotene. Already mature and dried salt loses its bright color, but beta-carotene remains, built into the salt crystal itself, making it medicinal.

Mature salt The color has a barely noticeable pinkish-orange tint; in large crystals the color is more pronounced. In fine grinding, you need to catch this, but I came across whole layers in my pack that were really pinkish in color!

Sea Salt for the food industry

Salt is used by all chefs in the world's elite restaurants. Prepared with sea salt culinary masterpieces, and marinades for pickles, have a unique taste, and are useful for their set of microelements.

I repeat, when used in cooking, everything is clear here. The only point is that you need to “mature” to understand that such salt is useful and necessary for eating. It cannot be compared with cookery or extra. It seems that I “pushed” the understanding of my husband, the most skeptical man on the planetJ. When this salt came to us, he collected all the old table salt and took it out onto the stairs to distribute to neighbors, so to speak.

Also from the point of view of its therapeutic effect and filling with minerals, this salt is incredibly interesting and healthy!

The fundamental difference between this salt and table and other salts is the presence of many micro and macro elements important for health, such as: iodine, magnesium, sodium, bromine, calcium, copper and their connections; and BETA-carotene.

These microelements are found in preventive microdoses, extremely necessary for our body. All microelements are located inside the crystal; in other words, all additives are “preserved” and do not come into contact with the external environment. The shelf life of such a product is practically unlimited;

Our sea salt belongs to the group of special salts. Salt extracted using the cage method in natural clean Lakes. These lakes naturally connected to the Black Sea. Under the influence of the Summer sun and wind, natural, environmentally friendly evaporation of salt occurs.

The finely ground salt really surprised me those , that despite its almost powdery appearance, it still does not dissolve quickly - individual small crystals remain at the bottom for a long time. It was this property that pushed me to the idea of using it for cosmetic and medicinal purposes.

In the photo I tried to show what these small crystals look like:

The composition of a sea salt crystal is so complex and contains so many chemical elements that no laboratory in the world has yet been able to create it artificially.

So, with such finely ground salt it is convenient to perform the following procedures:

Salt is the best mouth rinse!

You can brush your teeth and make healing applications on your gums ( I was also inspired by the recipe of the famous Weleda brand - its salt paste includes small crystals of sea salt)

Gargle - when your throat is inflamed and hurts, it’s unbearable to wait for the large crystals to dissolve there?! And I always use this one - I fall asleep and can rinse after a few seconds.

For hand and nail care:

Baths and polishing nails with salt are quite common home treatments for strengthening nails.

Such finely ground salt makes an ideal scrub for the face and scalp. – it doesn’t scratch, but you don’t need to rub it too hard.

But I have a blast using it to rub my body!

It has a wonderful texture!

I always used to think that salt dissolves much faster in scrubs than sugar. But this salt is surprisingly persistent on the body. I repeat, it doesn’t scratch! But it massages beautifully!

*******************

I do the body rub procedure instead of baths with salt, every day, paying special attention to problem areas. It perfectly smoothes the skin and restores blood circulation. Afterwards I simply rinse in the shower or finish the procedure by pouring salt water (from a bucket). The skin tingles a little, but then... The feeling of an absolutely fresh, renewed body and incredible lightness are guaranteed. Not to mention the prevention of colds and metabolic diseases.

***********************

The use of salt baths directly supplies your body and skin with micro and macroelements. The direct effect is to strengthen nervous system, normalization of metabolism in the body and the functioning of the endocrine system. Significantly improves the condition of the skin, and through it the entire body as a whole.

Well, God himself ordered to make a homemade salt scrub with coconut based on the now popular Coconut Scrub from the Crimean Manufactory of the House of Nature. I liked their scrubs so much that I decided to make my own version.

So, an approximate recipe for a coconut-salt scrub with an anti-cellulite effect:

  • Fine sea salt
  • Coconut flakes
  • Coconut oil
  • Orange essential oil

***********************

I put 1 part salt + 1 part coconut at the bottom.

Into the melted Coconut oil(2 tablespoons) I drip 15-20 drops of essential oil and pour in the coconut-salt filling.

Railcar for salt extraction

Crimea is a small peninsula that is not conspicuous on the map of Russia, but how unique it is. I have already talked about the unique gifts of the peninsula earlier, and today I will tell you about Crimean pink salt grown in Crimea. Yes, yes, Crimean pink salt is grown like apples, like grapes.

Today is the last day of November, just at this time the collection of pink salt and the removal of all equipment from the place where the salt was collected completely ends. They begin to remove salt in September. I will tell you how salt is grown and you will understand what its value is.

Driving along the section from Simferopol to Yevpatoria in the area of the small town of Saki, Lake Sasyk-Sivash stretches, and in this area salt is evaporated in specially built square cages. They have been doing this trade here for more than two thousand years. The process of producing and collecting salt has not changed from the very beginning to this day.

Pink salt cages

Previously, everything was done by hand, but at the end of the 19th century a small combine was created, which is still in operation. The very salty water of the lake settles in square cages, it is called Rapa. What is Rapa? water solution salts of sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium and other trace elements. Moreover, these salts have a high concentration, and Rapa tastes very salty, even bitterly salty. This Rapa, being highly concentrated and heavy, settles to the bottom of square cages, and the Crimean sun slowly does its job, evaporates the water, and the salt settles at the bottom.

Over the summer, the sun does its job and in September, October, depending on the summer, the “salt harvest” begins. The thickness of the salt layer also varies, depending on the concentration of water and the hotness of the sun. If the summer is hot, then the layer of salt can reach up to 12 centimeters, and if the summer is cool, the layer will be smaller - about 5 centimeters, which means the volume of extracted salt varies. In 1863, Count Ivan Balashov became the owner of these lands, and it was then that some of the handicraft work was replaced by German-made machines. In those years there were record “salt harvests” - up to 75 thousand tons per year; currently about 20 tons of salt are produced per year. And even then, this production was preserved during the collapse of the USSR only on the enthusiasm of the workers, who did not allow production to be destroyed. It must be said that the team of workers consists of 30 people, including hereditary workers.

a motorized trolley transports salt extracted from a fish tank

So, the equipment for growing and extracting salt: a narrow-gauge railway (though it’s hard to call it a railway) is laid right along the salt along all the square cages, motorized railcars and trolleys run along this road, and an old combine built in 1934 collects the salt. Now no one produces such combines. The company placed a special order in Russia for the production of a new combine, the order was accepted in Krasnodar, so it is possible that a new combine will soon be available in Crimea and then the peninsula will grow salt for the whole of Russia.

Combine for loading pink salt

Salt workers work in special rubber boots, made of durable rubber, so that their feet do not get wet.
Crimean salt has a beautiful pink tint and this is due to the unique microflora of the lake; during the period of rapid flowering of algae growing in the lake, under the influence of the sun the latter produce a rich complex of bio-active substances: carotenoids, natural waxes, essential oils, iodine, and all these substances are absorbed into the salt crystals; these biocomponents are stored in the salt crystals for up to 15 months and give the Crimean salt a pleasant pink tint.

Algae gives salt its pink color

Salt is grown in approximately the same way in Spain, Japan and France, cement pools are made there, and in Crimea it is grown in natural conditions. Crimean pink salt also differs from salt mined in mines, both in taste and quality; it contains more useful elements. These are the unique healing springs in Crimea that delight us with their gifts. How is salt used in everyday life? On the peninsula, pink salt is sold in many places; they simply sell salt in packages of both small ones, 500 grams, and large ones in bags of 25 kilograms. Crimean pink salt is more often called Saki salt on the peninsula, after the name of the town near which it is mined; it can be used instead of plain table salt, there will be more benefits.

Pink in bags and buckets

This is an exclusive natural sea salt that has no analogues both in Russia and abroad, does not undergo any chemical treatment, and is “living salt” enriched with micro- and macroelements of the world ocean. It is better to salt dishes directly in the plate; in hot soup it will lose its beneficial properties. I wrote about other Crimean healing springs that give us unique gifts of nature in the article "
