Gamers need to know what games will load their system, pushing it to its limits, but at the same time demonstrating the superior graphics that the game will be able to reproduce. That is why we have prepared a list with the most demanding PC games to date.

This list will include 16 games, which are the most graphically loaded to date.

How will the verification take place?

We use built-in tests in the game settings, as well as the capture tool frame rate. Evaluation will be based on their average frame rate: The lower the average frame rate, the higher the current game will be at the top of our list.

To really push the game to its absolute graphics limits, we ran every game in 4K (3840×2160) with ultra settings. Yes, that includes full anti-aliasing, which admittedly doesn't make much sense in 4K, where high resolution does the job.

However, this is not an optimization guide and we are not trying to find an effective balance between performance and quality. The purpose of this test is to check the limits of our modern PC high class.

The only features we disabled were vsync(V-Sync) so we don't get stung by our monitor's 60Hz refresh rate and Supersample(Oversampling anti-aliasing) - to keep all games in the same resolution field. We played around 5 minutes in each game and only in to eliminate possible problems with the Internet. We also avoided third party mods.

Another important aspect to consider before seeing the full ranking of the most demanding games is that many of them are cross-platform games that may not have been optimized to perfection specifically for the PC.

Test PC Specifications

We built our PC based on a kit Barebone Bulldog 2.0 by Corsair which includes motherboard Mini-ITX Z270 by MSI, liquid cooling Corsair Hydro Series H6 SF CPU and 600 watt source of power.
